This year we headed to Gloworm Festival and it truly was a day packed with fun for all the family. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was amazing. There was so much to explore for the whole family - from live music and shows to animals, crafts, and so many chances for the kids (and grown-ups!) to make memories that last a lifetime.

We started the day with a very special meet and greet - Rose was over the moon to meet Rubble from Paw Patrol, we even spotted Skye and Marshall too. The merch stall nearby was a dream for little fans, with toys and clothing to match their favourite pups. Character meet-and-greets were happening throughout the weekend, we also managed to say hello to Bluey later on in the day. Some of the other appearances throughout the weekend included Hey Duggee, Mr Blobby, Andy and the Odd Socks, Elmer and of course Gilbert the Gloworm himself. And so many more of our favourite characters.

The main stage kept us entertained all day, with a mix of child-focused shows (like Paw Patrol and Hey Duggee) as well as tribute acts that the whole family can enjoy together. Rose enjoyed dancing to Pup Pup Boogie with Skye and Marshall, and we also had fun with Duggee and the famous Stick Song.

Between acts, we wandered through the circus tent, got creative in the play zones, played in the sand at the beach and visited the animals from White Post farm. Rose had so much fun getting involved with everything she could.

No festival is complete without good food, we treated ourselves to ice cream and plenty of other yummy food and drink along the way. We were lucky to try one of the new treats from Goodies, this was perfect to give Rose that little energy boost she needed throughout the day. The Organix Big Picnic Area with the Gruffalo meet-and-greet was another perfect pit-stop for the family to recharge throughout the day.

Our highlight of the day was the Playmobil Rave - the energy was amazing. We danced together as a family and with our friends. Rose showed us her dance moves which was the cutest thing I had ever seen. Playmobil was such a big part of our day from the moment we arrived. We loved the Playmobil Village, there were opportunities to play with different figures and look at all their different collections and themes, from princesses to dinosaurs. There were also opportunities to buy your very own toys to take home, Rose picked a dinosaur to come home with us. We got so many free mystery figure bags which Rose played with all day! She hasn’t put them down since we got home.

Everywhere we turned there was something new to try - face glitter stalls, craft tens, music, animals and so much more. Gloworm really is one of those festivals where the kids are entertained from start to finish, but it feels just as much fun for the grown-ups too. We left tired, glittery, and very, very happy - we are already counting down the days until next year!
